Me painting in my home studio

About Me

Born in a small village near Pitesti, Romania, in the communist period, I attended the arts high-school in my town and then the “Ion Mincu” Architecture and Urbanism University in Bucharest. I worked as an architect for a few years, until my son was born.
After that, I started dedicating myself to handmade products which I’d often manually paint.

Since 2019 I’ve been painting in watercolours and I’ve participated in many physical and online competitions and exhibitions, winning prizes and being featured in arts magazines. I’m a member of the International Watercolor Society- Romanian branch since 2024.

In my watercolor paintings I always use professional paints that will stand the test of time, and mostly Arches cotton paper (acid-free, mould-made, excellent archival quality, created in 1492), although sometimes I use cellulose paper because it helps create more texture.
