“Dubrovnik street no.2” captures the timeless beauty of the historic Stradun street in Dubrovnik, Croatia viewed from above, where warm terracotta rooftops and golden facades frame the lively pedestrian walkway. The composition draws the viewer’s gaze down the sunlit street toward a distant clock tower, creating a strong sense of depth, rhythm, and perspective. The composition is structured around a central vanishing point, guiding the eye along the receding street. The repetition of windows, rooftops, and figures enhances the visual rhythm, while the interplay of sunlight and shadow adds depth and realism. The figures are placed strategically to lead the viewer’s eye through the scene, their elongated shadows emphasizing the direction of the afternoon light. The brushwork varies from broad, fluid washes for the façades and pavement to fine, controlled strokes for architectural details and figures.
