This watercolor painting depicts a sunlit meadow filled with tall grasses, wildflowers, and scattered trees, capturing the freshness and vibrancy of a spring day in a beautiful park in Bucharest. The composition emphasizes light and shadow, with layered washes and expressive brushwork creating depth and atmosphere. The foreground is dominated by tall grasses painted with fine, vertical brushstrokes, layered in varying shades of green. Dry brush techniques and lifting are used to create highlights, suggesting blades of grass catching the sunlight. Small clusters of yellow and white wildflowers are indicated with stippled or scratched touches of color, adding vibrancy and texture to the meadow floor. The midground features a large tree trunk painted with controlled, vertical strokes in warm browns, contrasting with the surrounding greenery. The layering of transparent washes enhances the sense of depth and natural light.
